the sweet mack at rogue studios

i recently popped by rogue studios to hang with my friends, the sweet mack while they were recording some songs for a new EP. the studio was an intimidating place to shoot in- its very dark, its quite cluttered, and i wanted to shoot without flash so i wouldn't be distracting (and flash is too noisy for when they are recording). i knew i would have to make these into some gritty black and whites, so i turned on all the lamps i could and cranked my settings way up (hello 6400 ISO, thanks nikon!) and shot with just available light. all the wires and cases and clutter gave the space character, and i shot through glass for the vocal recordings which added more depth.
