carole + cory - elk lake wedding

i arrived at elk lake eco centre after a six hour drive (a beautiful summer sunset and lakes on either side of the road made the time fly!) to find carole and cory already celebrating and enjoying time with their friends and family the night before their wedding. elk lake eco centre proved to be the perfect location for carole's dream wedding- a rustic ceremony setting tucked in the trees, fields and horses just a stone's throw away, and the perfect spot for fireworks over the lake at the end of the night.

carole has her own photography business in new liskeard, so i wasn't surprised to see that every detail had been looked after and carefully planned out. her gorgeous bouquet was a collection of vintage and gifted brooches (including a special locket honouring cory's mother), and she handmade all of the groomsmen's boutonnieres. carole and cory made efforts to make sure that their guests had a great time- they hired two comedians to perform before dinner (and they had everyone in tears) and there was a poutine bar featured at midnight (and lets be honest- any wedding with a poutine bar- or flower girls in tutus- is sure to be fabulous). it was such a pleasure to spend the weekend with such a great group of people.

stephanie + chris - muskoka maternity

about two months ago, i spent a beautiful day in muskoka at steph's family cottage. her baby bump was just perfect! chris was definitely not happy about taking the last photo, but he made a deal with steph- if he did it, then we could do a photo that he wanted to do. alas, our shoot ended with chris swan diving over steph's belly into the water. since then, baby evelyn has finally made her arrival (which was very overdue!) and i can't wait to meet her!

dana + rené - bean town ranch, ottawa wedding

i loved this wedding! dana and rené have such a beautiful thing going- and i'm so happy i was there to document the official beginning of their lives together as husband and wife. i had a blast hanging out with dana and her three beautiful sisters (and three more bridesmaids!) as they got ready before the wedding. my second shooter nicole spent some time with rené and the groomsmen before we all headed to the rustic ceremony site. bean town ranch is a great venue about 45 minutes outside of ottawa- geneviéve and her staff are amazing at what they do and they definitely work hard to create a beautiful, memorable and seamless day.

this was well worth the drive and i'd do it again!
