anandi + sean - oakville engagement

anandi and sean...you rock my world. you put everyone around you at ease and make sure that the love is felt. anandi, you said it yourself- we are both feisty little creatures but perhaps that is why we get along so well! you are gorgeous, inside and out (and you clearly know how to turn it on for the camera!) and i am so grateful to call you a friend. your independence and strong will are something that others look up to. sean- i've been enjoying getting to you know more since you finally moved back to town, and i am SO stoked to be traveling to jamaica in october for your wedding. thank you for letting me be a part of such a great time in your lives!

dana + rené - ottawa engagement

things are back in full swing around here, so buckle up and get ready for the posts to start rolling in! i spent an afternoon in ottawa last weekend with this sweet couple, and i'm looking forward to spending this sunday with them on their big day! we got caught up and hung out on a patio with beer and nachos before we started shooting around the canal and in the arboretum, and i've decided there is no better way to start an engagement session! dana and rené are so lovely to be around- their easy going personalities and calmness are a great match and make them a pleasure to shoot. looking forward to sunday!

jess & jean-francois: bluffers park engagement session, toronto

jess and jean-francois met while attending university in ottawa, and they've brought the love back home to get married next september. we started off jess and JF's engagement session in beautiful sunnybrook park, which made the perfect backdrop with lots of old trees that had their changing leaves still clinging on. after the park we headed to bluffers park, a place i had also never been to before. who knew there was a beach with scenic cliffs in toronto?! jess, you are beyond stunning, and JF, your friendly smile can put anyone at ease within a matter of seconds.
i had such a great afternoon with these two- they were so natural and happy to be spending a few hours in each others' arms!

steph & jaime: mcmaster engagement session, hamilton

steph and jaime are old friends of mine and i was so stoked when steph approached me about shooting their engagement photos. little did i know, these two would rock it out the entire shoot! they were so natural in front of the camera- i just had to give them some small directions, and they would immediately turn towards each other and get lost in the moment. jaime recounted their engagement story for me on our way to hamilton, and it seriously gave me goosebumps more than once! cherry picking is something that is very near and dear to jaime's heart, as he and his family would go out when he was a child and look for rare white cherries. earlier this summer, jaime arranged for he and steph to have a picnic in a private cherry orchard, where he would propose. after searching everywhere for white cherries to pack for their picnic, jaime gave up. you can imagine his surprise when steph pulled out a package of them that she had stumbled upon earlier that day in the grocery store. its just one of those coincidences that makes you believe that it was just meant to be!
