tassnim + jerry - palais des congrès, gatineau

tassnim and jerry were my very last wedding couple of 2012- and what a great way to wrap up the year! despite some chilly weather, these two braved the weather for me and agreed to hang out outside at the canadian museum of civilization. it was the perfect backdrop for them to snuggle up in front of! we did portraits first and then headed to the palais des congrès de gatineau for a Bahá'í marriage ceremony. the Bahá'í ceremony isn't as structured as most wedding ceremonies and can take many forms, so Tassnim and Jerry had some of their closest friends and families recite some readings that shed some light on the faith for those guests who weren't very familiar with their beliefs. after dinner, the dance party got under way and it was pretty fun to be around, to say the least! thank you to nicole for second shooting for me and making the trek to ottawa! tass and jerry- thank you for having me on your special day!

anandi + sean - ocho rios wedding, jamaica

anandi and sean, i am so thankful to have been asked to document your love filled wedding week in jamaica. this day was so special- we had a spectacular sunset during the ceremony, and your friends and family really made an effort to make it a unique and memorable day. anandi- you live such an inspired life and everyone knows that there is no stopping you. you are a firecracker with a soft heart, and you made one of the most beautiful brides i have ever had the luck to photograph (seriously- people were stopping us on the resort all day to tell us this). your laughter is contagious and your zest for life permeates into the lives of your loved ones. sean, you are the perfect match for anandi. you are sweet and soft spoken and you emit such a consistent positive energy. your killer style and spot on nicolas cage impressions don't hurt either! thank you to your friends and family for welcoming me with open arms. one of anandi's bridesmaids monisa did a beautiful job of planning and decorating- check out her beautiful website!

sean wrote anandi a letter in the morning and it was delivered along with a necklace belonging to his family.

 

sean's reaction to seeing anandi for the first time during their first look was priceless.

anandi and sean brought in some homegrown talent- dan's music was the perfect accompaniment to the sunset ceremony.

anandi's brother kevin shed just a 'few' tears that week...sweet siblings!

as anandi and sean headed back down the aisle, clapping and cheers filled the air from guests watching from their balconies! i loved this moment.
